Art Show Results:

The Minne-K Day Crooked Nail Art Show was a success again this year.  The show had 47 entries, almost as many as last year's entries!  There were artists ranging from grade school age on up to professional working artists.  The show was ran a little different this year, were the community chose only one favorite from the entire show.  We also had a Studio's Choice Award that the Crooked Nail Owners chose as their favorite piece from the entire show. This year’s top winners were all from the Minneapolis  & Glasco High Schools!  1st  place Community Pick went to Triana Reed with her "Child of the Moon" scratch art piece.  2nd place Community Pick went to Paige Robins with her "Make a Wish" batik.  3rd place went to Ean Nava with his "Girl Under Water" digital graphic art.    All three winners received a $50.00 gift certificate to the Crooked Nail.   The Studio's Choice Award went to Rayna Schmidt with her "Study of Feet" charcoal drawing.  She won $75 in Chamber Bucks and a showcase in our store.  One lucky person who participated in the voting was drawn for our Community Winner Prize for $25.00 in Chamber Bucks, which was Cassie Bohl of Minneapolis.  All artists may pick up their work from the Crooked Nail as soon as they are able.  Lexi Kirn, director of the show, wants to send out a huge Thank You to all those who submitted artwork and especially to Devi Wilbur of the Ottawa County Arts & Humanities Council, who volunteered her time to help set up the show.
